Dr. Fatma Bulat was born in Ordu, where she completed her primary and secondary education. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees and graduated from Gazi University, Institute of Educational Sciences. In 2019, she completed her PhD at Gazi University, Institute of Fine Arts. She is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Kırıkkale University, Keskin Vocational School.

She teaches associate and undergraduate courses in the fields of Design, Textile and Fashion Design/Production. Her research focuses on textile design and production using 3D printers, digital design, innovative approaches in textile and fashion design, and fashion marketing. She has published numerous national and international articles, conference papers, and book chapters on these topics.

Additionally, she has participated in and organized various fashion shows, workshops, and exhibitions. She has held three solo exhibitions titled “Three-D”, “SARMAL”, and “SARMAL 2”, featuring fabric manipulation techniques created with 3D printing. She continues her research in 3D technologies, digital design, and artificial intelligence.
